Why are you having a workshop?

We believe that we have a lot to say to the photography industry concerning art, work flow, production and client relations. We hope that sharing our mission & process with others will inspire fellow photographers. This workshop aims to encourage attendees to capture better moments on film, streamline their workflow, and engage their clients well.

How is the workshop structured?

Attendees will arrive on Sunday evening at 7pm for drinks & an introduction at the A Bryan Photo studio. We will spend our mornings in studio learning from the A Bryan Photo team. In the afternoons you will have the chance to learn new film cameras while photographing families & couples. Each evening we will all enjoy dinner together at great local restaurants and dialogue about the day. By the conclusion of the workshop, we will also offer personalized sessions with each of our team members. This is a great time to go over any specific questions about each individual's business.

What are the accommodations?

We are recommend booking a room at either the Tutweiler or the Westin. Both are downtown and we will be picking up attendees each morning from these hotels should you choose to not rent a car. The studio is about a mile from the Tutwiler and a 1 1/2 miles from the Westin should you choose to walk.

Where is the workshop and how do I get there?

The workshop will take place at our studio in Birmingham, AL. If you are flying in we recommend you check out Southwest Airlines' fares. All major airlines fly to Birmingham daily as well. Should you choose to rent a car or drive, there is metered parking in front of the studio ($.25 per hour), and you may want to bring some quarters. If you don't rent a car, you will need to get a cab to your hotel from the airport. Expect to spend $20 each way.

What about food?

Your tuition covers breakfast (bagels, fruit, coffee) and lunch, along with some snacks throughout the day. Birmingham is an incredible food town and has many great downtown options for morning coffee and food -

Revelator Coffee - Pour-over coffee and baked goods

What types of payments are accepted?

Check or Credit Card. A deposit of $750 is required to reserve your spot. The remaining balance of $1250 is due the week before the workshop. Proceed to Sign Up to reserve your spot.

How much does the workshop cost?

$2000 / This includes three days of education as well as 4 rolls of film, processing, and scanning while here in Birmingham. An additional lab fee will be applied for additional rolls shot ($30 a roll).
